Description:
The unusual markings are in the second picture. Line stamped through the 1918. Several lines marking out whatever is just above the flaming bomb. Just to the left & slightly above the flaming bomb are the letters "RZG"(you will have to zoom in) These may be inspectors marks but I have not seen them before nor can I come up with them in my research.
The blade is bright & shiny with a little light surface rust speckling & some dried grease spots. No nicks or damage to the blade. The wrist cup has a few small dents & some nicking along the edge from a blade hitting it. A good bit of original black paint remains but in poor condition. There are no large or serious rust areas. Where the paint is missing the metal is plumb brown. "2G" is stamped in the cuff along with other small numbers. The leather on the scabbard has two areas of serious loss. Shipping $45
