Description:
Very nice condition early Smith & Wesson M&P 38 special revolver, K frame 6” barrel and original walnut grips. Approximately 95% of the original bluing remains with only some light handling marks. Strong case colors on the hammer and trigger, clean pointed checkering on the grips which fit the frame perfectly and 1 of them is numbered to the gun. Bright bore with strong rifling and action is in time and locks up tight. Serial number 267530, according to the S&W records serial number 241704 was made in 1915 and sn: 1,000,000 was made in 1942, this averages 28,000 per year and would put this revolver at around 1916 for a date of manufacture. A great piece in excellent condition.
