This is a very nice condition M1 Garand rifle, made by Springfield Armory, 6-digit serial number (SN 59777), indicating an April, 1942 production date, gun is an original RIA rebuild and so marked on the stock. Stock has very little wear with only extremely minor nicks associated with normal storage, cartouched as shown, with RIA. The metal was re-parkerized as part of the RIA post-war rebuild and retains approximately 98% of its finish, barrel is a 9-43 date and shows little to no wear. Was purchased from the DCM in the early 1970’s, not imported, no import mark, C&R OK for shipping on this gun. A very nice example of a World War II made and used Springfield made M1 Garand.
