Grade 2, 12 Gauge with 30" of fine Damascus barrels. Mod & Mod chokes. Boxlock action w/ more than average scroll engraving & fancy borders surrounding scenes w/ pointing dogs on both sides. Double triggers & extractors. Ebony tipped splinter forearm & round knob stock of fine thin shell walnut w/ tear drop points. Forearm & wrist of stock have wraparound point pattern hand checkering. Ears of stock have additional panels of checkering. LOP: 14 1/4" over original rampant colt checkered hard rubber buttplate. Toeline has a brass oval presentation plate. WEIGHT: 7 lbs., 12 oz. Mfg. 1889.
Shotgun is extraordinarily fine and original! Barrels retain virtually all their bold Damascus pattern. Buttstock and forearm are near mint with virtually all their factory original finish, only one minor handling mark. The receiver retains virtually most of its rich bold case color. The trigger guard retains virtually all its finish on bow and tang. Bores are clean and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. Breech face shows no evidence of use.
