Description:
Merkel Model 47E Scalloped Boxlock Double Ejector gun chambered 20 gauge. This Merkel has 26 3/4" Special Gewehr Laufstahl barrels with a concave rib and fixed chokes, VZ & 1/2 "IC-MOD". The barrels actually come out to skeet / skeet choked. The scalloped boxlock frame retains very little original color case-hardening and shows light borderline engraving with scroll and the Merkel trademark on the belly of the frame. The checkered straight grip European walnut buttstock and splinter style forend have been non-professionally refinished with surface marks left in the wood. This gun also features double triggers, ejectors, pin style cocking indicators and automatic safety. Lockup is with dual under bites and Greener crossbolt. The lockup is tight, and the top lever is slightly left of center. Length of pull is 14 3/4" with DC 1 5/8" and DH 2 5/8". Imported by Armes DE Chasse Kennett Square, PA.
