"NSN, made in 1841, .69 caliber, 42"" round proofed barrel. Metal is bright grey patina with smooth pin-prick oxidation noted. Musket has been converted to percussion with Belgian style conversion. Stock is in very good condition with cartouches visible. Barrel and lock plate are dated 1841. Great looking Mexican American War musket!
