About Us: I have collected interesting firearms for about 60 years, and am a Benefactor/Life NRA member. I feel that it is now time to start selling a few things. All firearms transactions will be handled by a local Gun shop and will follow all firearms laws. All firearms purchased will be shipped by them to your F.F.L. I do my best to price my items fairly. If you think that my price is out of line, please make an offer. I don't have much room for negotiation, but I will work with you if I can. I do not have many items to sell. Please keep checking my items and I will try to add regularly to my listings. I hope to find good homes for these items that are special to me. Please read descriptions and terms, I will endeavor to be accurate.

Description:
Georgeous Shiloh Sharps Model 1874 Saddle Rifle in 45-70 that is absolutely perfect and New in the Box. I ordered this rifle on April 15, 1997. I probably was getting a tax refund and didn't want to waste the money on anything trivial like food or shelter, so I ordered the Shiloh Sharps. This one is in the very shooter friendly 45-70 chambering and was intended for hunting. It is "The Saddle Rifle". It has a 26" heavy octagon barrel with the extra cost semi-fancy Walnut stock (looks extra fancy to me). Extra cost options include a beaded cheekpiece, a Pewter fore end tip, A Traditional Steel Buttplate, Brass Escutcheons, and Sling Swivels and of course the fancy wood. The rifle was shipped to me on March 4, 2002, and arrived on March 7th, exactly 4 years, 10 months and 20 days after I ordered it. It was securely packed in a cardboard box with an outer sleeve and placed in a wooden box that was screwed together tightly so this beauty would not be damaged. I was the envy of the gun shop when we uncrated this treasure. This rifle has not been fired since it left the factory. I believe that it was test fired before it left the factory in Montana. I already had a No.1 sporter Shiloh in 45-70 and I have continued to shoot that. I have been hoping to take this one on a Buffalo Hunt, if I ever drew out. I have been putting in for 23 years and got another unsuccsessful draw notice again this year. This is a beautiful rifle that to my eye is flawless. The rifle is heavy enough to make recoil very manageable and ammunition is widely available. This is one of the calibers that Shiloh approves to be loaded with smokeless powder. Don't let this one get away if you have been looking for a shootable Sharps.
