Description:
Up for sale is a Remington Rand rare TYPE I 1911 1911a1 made in 1942. This is one of the first 2000 made with the unusual features of the early ones. Dulite finish is 98% with normal handling marks, front strap is amazing with a hint of toning. Colt G barrel, colt trigger, Upside down ordance wheel, hardness punch marks on slide, markings under fire pin stop, feed ramp in white. The rear sight was staked in place along the four corners but does not look terrible whatsoever. The barrel bushing is tight, indicating hand fitting. Over all a nice rare piece of US history. 7500 or best offer shipped to FFL or C and R.
