Description:
For those of you that are upland hunters this may be the ultimate game gun. This is an Arrieta Limited Edition 12 gauge with 2 inch chambers. If you have never handled or shot one of these great little 2 inch guns you are in for a treat. These were designed to be light (six pound 12 gauge), fast handling, and with open chokes, making them easy to carry and fast to the shoulder even at the end of the day. Most of the shells for these guns are either 7/8, 15/16, or 1 ounce loads so you are basically shooting a 20 gauge load through a 12 gauge barrels. These produce the shortest shot strings and the best patterns of any gun I've ever shot and that short shot string hits your target (bird) all at one time so they are deadly on game. This particular gun has 28 inch barrels and skeet II (.006) and light improved cylinder (.011) chokes. Arrieta is one of the foremost gunmakers from Spain and this was a limited run of 25 guns with this being number 3, so maked on the barrel in gold. This is a round action gun making it very easy on the arm when carrying. The straight stock is made of English Walnut and has dimensions of 1 3/8 x 2 x 14 3/4 over a leather covered pad. Stock is cast off for the right hand shooter. The action has some of the best bone and charcoal case coloring I have seen and lovely scroll engraving showing almost no wear. Barrels are tight on face and ring like church bells. Top lever is well right of center. Double triggers with front being articulated. Bushed firing pins is another nice feature of this great gun. All in all this is just a great little upland gun perfect for Grouse, Woodcock, and Quail. These 2 inch guns are very hard to find, especially with 28 inch barrels. Shells are available through RST and several other suppliers. Price of the gun is $5500 plus $75 shipping to your FFL.
