Bore still has visible and defined 'rifling. This was captured well before my father was born(1916) by the US Cavalry believed during the "Indian Wars" on the western Plains...believed Lacota-Sioux warrior. The grip wrapping is verified Goat or Sheep due to thinness of the hide. It remains SNUG to the grips. It appears to show Ser.84522 which matches the Barrel & Cyl.//The barrel address verifies this revolver as Mfg. by E.Remington..& getting hard to read entire stamping. The action remains SNUG and completely operational along w/ original nipples-the chambers are relatively smooth w/NO Pitting. The bottom the grips have a letter "M" carved ioto the wood bottom. I cannot verify anymore of wood condition due to the hide wrapping..to retain its Legacy, I advise to keep it 'as Found-Captured. //Offers are considered. SOLD |
