Description:
We aren't sure where this Mauser rifle originally comes from as the scope mount covers the receiver marking. Best guess would be that this was a Spanish Mauser chambered in 7X57 mm Mauser but has now been rebarreled for .243 Winchester. The metal butt plate appears to be original as well as the stock though this has been cut down. The bolt handle has been turned down and shaved. A new safety has been added behind the bolt handle as well. Bore is shiny and clean and there is a JP Sauer marking on the bottom of it, but the stock is covering the rest. A Tasco scope has been mounted. Despite all that has been done to it , this is still a good first hunting rifle for anyone wanting to get into shooting. .243 Winchester
