Description:
Francis Bannerman Shotgun. 12 gauge with 30" Damascus Barrel. Takedown version. Serial number 19210. Very nice bore. Action functions nicely. I have not tried to take apart. Both forend and buttstock are in good condition, checkered buttstock has a nicely down repair visible on left hand side of wrist (see pictures). Magazine plug is made of brass and has the initials CW inscribed in it (see pic). Barrel retains 80% of it's brown finish on the Damascus pattern. Receiver retains 55-60% of it's original blue. Barrel near muzzle end is showing an area of light pitting (see pic). There is some very interesting articles on how Bannerman acquired the rights from Spencer on this shotgun. Also some good reading on the battle between Winchester and Bannerman. Very rare model shotgun and worthy to be part of any shotgun collectors collection. Must ship to a FFL or Curio and Relics license holder. This shotgun is not warranted safe to shoot because of it's Damascus twist barrel. Sold as a Collectors Item only.
