Description:
Sako Model AV chambered in .416 Remington Magnum. The Sako AV is a bolt-action rifle based on the L61R action. It was produced by the Finnish manufacturer Sako in 1989 and 1990. The rifle has a fixed magazine with a hinged, polished floorplate. It has the proprietary tapered dovetail rail with variable width (narrow at the rear, wide at the front). It is in excellent condition with very deep bluing and a beautiful, checkered Monte Carlo stock. The .416 Remington Magnum is a belted bottlenecked cartridge that was developed as intended as a dangerous game hunting cartridge. It is a less costly alternative to the .416 Rigby cartridge. It is also used in Alaska for the hunting of and as a defense against large bears. .416 Remington Magnum
