"Serial No. 441036B, made in 1892, .32 W.C.F., 24" octagonal barrel marked “WINCHESTER’S REPEATING ARMS NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A./ -KING’S IMPROVEMENT PATENTED MARCH 29.1866 OCTOBER 16.1860- “. Bore shows oxidation in the grooves, with rifling present, forward of receiver is marked “32 W.C.F." Metal is mostly a smooth brown patina with edge wear in the bright. Tang is marked “Model 1873" in between decorative scroll, brass carrier has faint “32 CAL" visible. Wood is good with expected handling and usage wear visible, mostly visible forward of the flared forend on the forearm. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
