Description:
S&W Military & Police fitted with a 5 inch barrel, fixed sights, pearl grips with steer's head on the right grip panel with red ruby (?) eyes, is built on a 5-screw frame, nickel finished with color case hardened finshed hammer and trigger, and chambered in .38 Special. This late 1930's/early 1940's vintage S&W M&P is in excellent condition, retaining 99% nickel finish, with only assorted minor handling marks/scuff's overall. The hammer retains 40% of its original finish, and the trigger approximately 30%. The attractive pearl grips fit very well and are in excellent condition, showing little wear and only a small area of chipping on the left grip panel at the heel. The bore is bright, with sharp rifling, with only a small area of light spotting. The action functions perfectly, with excellent tin=ming and tight lock-up on all 6 cylinders. It is all numbers matching, obviously except for the grips. A very good looking vintage S&W M&P.
