Description:
The Model 81 Woodsmaster is another of the John Browning designs, this time produced by Remington. It is unique for the barrel recoiling inside a sleeve to eject a spent cartridge, and then returning to battery, while the bolt follows along slightly later, picking up and chambering the next round. They were fairly popular with both sportsmen and law enforcement, the latter of which were permitted to obtain high capacity 15 and 20-round magazines. This one is in unusually good condition with very nice metal and wood with only superficial scratches. .300 Savage
