Description:
Remington Rand Model M1911 A1 U.S. Army Pistol chambered in .45 ACP. Remington Rand, better known for manufacturing typewriters, produced nearly a million pistols for the WWII war effort. The M1911A1 is an improved version of the original M1911 that entered service in 1926. The pistol served as the standard-issue sidearm for the United States Armed Forces until 1985. It has a Parkerized finish, a 5-inch round barrel, plastic grips, and fixed sights. The condition of this pistol is Very good. It comes with one magazine. It was manufactured by Remington Rand in 1942-43. It is marked United States Property, ser # 941016. .45 ACP
