Description: This Purdey Bar & Wood is the perfect entry for a starting a Purdey collection. Manufactured in 1877 this living piece of history has been kept in shooting condition, the chambers in the original steel barrels have been lengthened to 70mm and have been given Nitro proofs to ensure no unexpected damages will happen. The beautifully figured stock has been lengthened to 15 inches to accommodate a longer armed shooter and it seems the finish overall has been refreshed to make this old firearm seem almost new. The only blemish of note is the mild dent found in the left barrel about 10 inches from the muzzle.
