Serial numbered in the 34xxx range manufactured in early 1862. Old dark crusty patina overall. Butt strap stamped with old initials “D.K.L.”. Grips which are the originals with old repair and hole drilled in grip in center of the grip to attach a lanyard which was quite common practice in the Confederate Cavalry but not in the Union Cavalry.
