Description:
A very nice Springfield Sporting Rifle made from a high number 1903 Military Rifle. Many smaller shops across the country did these sporters from military rifles, mostly in the 1950's, configuring the military versions into very nice sporting rifles such as this one - new stock, receiver sight, bent bolt, etc. etc. The result was a very nice sporter, such as this one, mostly for the deer hunters.
