Manufactured at Springfield Armory in December 1943 this old war horse has servived in very good condition. Has a SA barrel, SA bolt, SA trigger group. Sling is stamped 1944. Comes in a US GI M1 Carry Case with 2 enblock clips and M1 Manual. Been in storage for years, I'm 81, US Army Vetereran and hate to see it go but it's time to sell the collection. Had a Gunsmith go over it and gauge barrel +1 and throat +1, which is excellent. Make a great shooter or addition to any collection. Bore is shiny and rifling is good. Stock has many bumps and bruises and blemishes from many years of use, but very solid and no cracks. Stock has the P proof mark and metal is in outstanding condition for age.
