Marlin Model 336SC "sporting carbine" in caliber 35 Remington with the desirable untapped "Waffle Top" receiver (note plug screws on left side of receiver for peep sight are factory), 20" round barrel, 2/3 magazine, plain trigger, plain walnut stocks, plain pistol grip, correct open sights with front sight hood missing, all metal parts blued, pre Micro Groove so has the Ballard style rifling, serial number H47160, made 1951.
Original factory blue is 98% having a couple faint scratches on the barrel. Bore is mint. Fore arm stock is sound with just a few little light dings; butt stock retains Marlin trademark Bullseye in toe line, although it looks like it fell out and was put back in as it is not flush with the stock. There is a chip missing upper left, otherwise just has a couple light nicks, correct Marlin logo butt plate and white line spacer. Correctly does not have the pistol grip cap and spacer, and also correctly has a blued trigger. Action is smooth with a properly functioning half cock safety. Feeds, functions, fires as it should (was very accurate with Remington LeveRevolution ammunition). No wobble to stocks or mag tube; stocks still tight and proud to metal. Beautiful, desirable configuration that will make someone an excellent collector, shooter and hunter.
