Description:
Sedgley was one of the most interesting American gunmaker of the pre-war period. This .22 Hornet built on a standard 1903 Springfield action is a fine example of that . Converting a action built to function with a .30-06 cartridge to handle the dimensive .22 Hornet was no easy task. The conversion is similar in function to a Winchester model 54. Utilizing an internal magazine box and a modified bolt .
This rifle is a built in the classic Sedgley style. With a single lever G&H detachable scope mount which Sedgley regularly used. The scope mout features fine scroll engraving and is windage adjustable. The Lyman Alaskan scope is clear and has a crosshair retical.
The bore is in excellent condition .
The rifle alo features a Miller Single Set rifle trigger. These were made by the same Miller as the Single Shotgun trigger fame. After conciderable research we found that the rifle triggers are quite rare. It is the perfect partner for this vintage classic.
