Winchester pre-64 Model 70 .300 Winchester Magnum. Serial 552279 has a 24-inch barrel (hooded ramp front sight with beaded blade, adjustable folding rear sight), Redfield base (one mounting screw slot rounded) and well-figured stock (sling loops, Winchester logo recoil pad). Consignor states he purchased the rifle from in the late 1980s from the original owner. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 8.2 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.65 inches. CONDITION: Known to be little fired and seldom afield, the bore is strong and bright. Metal finish is approximately 97 percent with but trace indications of handling. Wood is at least 98 percent. No box or papers. The price is firm and layaway is available. $4,000 plus shipping.
