Winchester Model 70 Pre War / Pre 64 manufactured in 1938. Serial number 15913. Extra fancy wood, grip cap, and sling eyes. 24" barrel retains 90% original blue. Very nice bore that I will rate an 8.5 on a scale from 1 to 10. Receiver retains over 90% original blue. Bolt serial number matches the receiver. Action functions smoothly. Extra fancy wood and checkering are in excellent condition. Original steel buttplate. This is a very hard rifle to come by, Pre War Model 70's are rare in themselves, add the fact this rifle is also in the very desirable.257 Roberts caliber. Must ship to a FFL or Curio and Relics license holder. This firearm as with any other should be checked first by a gunsmith before any attempt is made to fire / operate it.
