"Serial No. 3316358, circa October 1943, .30 carbine, 18" round barrel marked “SAGINAW S.G, /GENERAL MOTORS" Barrel is undated which is correct, bore is bright with strong rifling noted. Flaming bomb is visible 3" from the muzzle and “P" is stamped 6" from muzzle. Type I barrel band is unmarked with 3 weld scars visible. Type I rear sight is unmarked which were also used during this production. Receiver is marked “Saginaw SG/3316358" Type III recoil shield is stamped “SG". Low Wall stock is in very good plus condition with faint “SG" cartouche visible on the right side. Sling well is faintly marked “RSG/E". Carbine comes with sling and oiler.
