"Serial number 23097. Made in 1863. 36 caliber with a 7 ½" barrel. Very nice sharp early production New Model Navy. It does not have the “NEW MODEL" marking. This gun has approximately 15% of the original blue finish on the barrel and the remaining finish drifting into a smooth brown patina. Action works well and locks up tight. The grips are excellent.
