Winchester 9422 John Wayne Trapper Engravers Proof 22LR . This gun appears in page 178-179 of Tom Trolard volume 2. It is believed that only 6 of these trapper LR were made.This gun has a proof mark on top tang,JW medallion in stock,scene of JW on side of receiver and scene of the movie the cowboys on other side,etched in barrel is JW signature and date of birth.The gun is in excellent shape, has small mark under 7 in 1907, flaws(small pits)in lever at time of plating,and small handling marks in wood that are hard to see. No box. Or make reasonable offer.
