-- SOLD -- Perazzi MX8/Mirage - Ithaca import, Type 3, 31-3/4” (exactly) length barrel, Briley thin wall chokes, original (tattered cover) hard shell Ithaca case. 18.4 bores, stamped 1,650kg. Stock and Comb measurements: 14-3-4" LOP, comb: 1-1/4”, mid comb: 1-1/2” DOH 1-3/4”.
All numbers match, pull/pull trigger has two serial number stampings. Trigger recently serviced by Don Rackley. 2mm step rib barrel is stamped “Mirage” with original gold mostly still present in the stamping. Ejector timing and function is perfect.
Metal shows hand wear on edge of iron and bottom proud edges of receiver, but no serious marks; barrel has a couple small scuff marks here and there, bores are bright and shiny. No dents or dings on muzzle. Rib is ding-free, small white Bradley bead and typical silver center bead.
Forearm shows no evidence of cracking. Expected small marks and dings on buttstock, slight evidence of finish cracking near tang. Slight cast off. Butt pad has been on the gun for long time maybe.
Opens and closes snugly, does not flop open, with no noticeable play given its age. Amazingly light at just a hair over 8lbs 7 ounces, balances 1/2 finger aft of hinge pin, swings fantastic on the range.
Will make a fine B/U gun, or first gun for Sporting or Trap doubles. Shoots fantastic, cool piece of history. Must be shipped to your FFL, local buyers thru FFL also.
