Unusual Patent Leather English Gun Case in Great Shape $575.00
This is a rather different looking case. It is very solid & sturdey. I got it from a gunsmith friend in the North of England who said that it originally had a WM Richards label in it. A small Northern gun maker from Preston, Lancashire. By chance I happen to have an original label from this maker, or I can find or create nearly any label of your choosing at an additional charge.
The case will fit 12g side by side shotgun with 30" barrels (with a doll's head). There is a two-inch matching block, making a 28" barreled gun also fit like a glove! Its outside dimensions are 32 3/4"x 8 3/4"x3". To give you an idea of whether your gun will fit, the gun pictured is a 12 gauge 30" barrels with a 15" LOP (this stock length easily fits and could take a good deal longer!) The outside has some marks and scrapes. Includes pair of leather straps that are strong and serviceable.
There is a key!!!! The inside is in overall great shape with minimal wear. For a case of this vintage, it is in fine shape and would complement any shotgun you choose to put in it!
