Description:
Serial #3528654, .30-06, 24" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some minor freckling within the grooves. The receiver of this rifle was made in February of 1945 and is mated to a matching, 2-45-dated, "S-A" barrel. All component parts are also "SA," but from various different production periods. The metal retains 90-92% of a consistent, parkerized finish, with gray fading at the muzzle, along the high edges and projections, and on the bearing surfaces of the bolt and op-rod raceway. The unmarked walnut stock is in excellent condition with only some minor handling marks scattered about the military oil finish, however there is a large chip of wood missing from the left side of the rear handguard. A canvas M1 sling is also included. This is a very nice looking Garand with February 1945 receiver and barrel, in very good-near fine condition overall. FFL or C&R
