Description:
This Custom built A-1 Special Reproduction is a true work of art and no effort was spared in its creation. A new "in the white" A-1 Special was started with. The goal of the build was to turn the Reproduction platform into something that could have come out of the old dusty plant in Meriden, CT by the craftsmen of 100 years ago. Many hours was spent refining and reworking the metal of the frame and barrels to replicate the original guns. Small details like the shape of the trigger guard, the size of the buttplate were not overlooked. Even the safety button was scratch made to properly replicate what should be on an original A-1 special. The gun was stocked in fancy Circassian walnut that was cut in the early 1960's. The grip style chosen was the rare round pistol grip. Finished in oil and checkered in the style of the fanciest Parkers ever produced. Geoffroy Gournet was tasked with the engraving on the gun. Fine scroll and floral with full coverage and beautiful inlaid gold. The breech the muzzle and even the ejector shell kickers are engraved. Case Coloring by Turnbull and blued finishes by BMD.
The gun itself is a 12g. with 28" barrels and double triggers. Choked I/C and Mod. It weighs 7 lbs. Length of pull is 14-1/4" with drops of 1-1/2" and 2-5/8".
The gun comes in a beautifully custom fitted oak and leather case custom fitted to the gun by BMD.
