Description:
Eduard Kettner stalking rifle decked out with nicely figured walnut, half octagonal, half round barrel, set triggers, and fabulous engraving. This dandy rifle weighs in at 5 1/2 pounds, and was meant for easy carry and accurate shooting. Chambered in 43 Mauser (11x60 Mauser), she is a single shot bolt action with a 63cm, or about 25 inch, barrel. This rifle is in wonderful condition, with strong original blue, and only a few light handling marks on the furniture. The bore is very good, with plenty of shine and strong rifling. The "butter knife" bolt slides smooth and tight, with the knurled on both sides safety controlling the action. She is a pleasure to carry and point, and the cheek rest is oh so comfy. The LOP to the genuine horn butt plate is 13 1/2 inches. These Kettner guns have gathered quite a following, starting with the clean lines and fancy engraving, and ending with the superior design and function of these fine guns. Comes with original factory carrying case and has a claw mount base on the barrel, but unfortunately the rings did not come with it. This firearm is being offered by the Boise Cabela's Gun Library.
