Description:
An absolutely stunning example of a Winchester lever action commemorative commissioned for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Refinements include a 20 inch barrel and chambered for the 44 magnum cartridge. Accents include gold finish on trigger, hammer, barrel bands and end of magazine tube. The left side of the action features a huge six point bull elk in gold on an original scroll background. The right side, also in gold, is a tribute to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation emblem and a tasteful description of the rifles significants. Beautifully figured walnut was selected for the rifle's stock to embelish it's overal beauty.The number of Winchesters in this very limited edition is 500. This gun's number is 280 of 500 and that is prominanty displayed in gold on the upper tang. When compared to other Winchester editions, this is a very limited offering. Small limited editions can contribute significantly to value as the years go by. This rifle remains unfired and the overal condition is 99.5%. There are a couple of insignificant marks most likely because it was shown at the original banquet. The factory box and all original paperwork will be included with the rifle.
