Description:
Lightly used left-handed 1760's style. 62 caliber smoothbore (20 gauge shotgun) fowler custom built by Stan Larsen in Utah in very good to excellent condition.  This lightweight, well-balanced fowler is representative of guns made by colonial gunsmiths in the American colonies from parts they had on hand and/or were presented to them by the customer.  Oftentimes those parts might be a mixture of different influences around the world such as French, English, German, etc.   This piece features a French style cherry stock, Queen Anne lock and an English style trigger guard.

The barrel is a 42 inch long swamped octagon to round barrel with a wedding band.   All metal surfaces are browned steel and the ramrod is wooden with a brass jag on the end.  Overall it weighs less than seven pounds.

Firearm has been taken to the range once and used in one Revolutionary War reenactment.  Selling because this is not correct for the living history impressions I am currently doing or will be doing in the foreseeable future.

Add $100 for shipping and insurance as this requires a very long box.  I accept payment via personal checks, and GunTab.  Upon receipt of check or GunTab transaction, firearm will be shipped the following business day. If GunTab is used, all taxes and fees are the responsibility of the buyer.  Thank you for looking.
