Description:
Remington Model 40-X U.S. Target Rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle. This rifle is stamped "U.S." indicating that it was purchased by the United States Government. These rifles were used by college ROTC programs, service academies, and competitive teams from the various service branches. This is a heavy barrel single shot bolt action bench rifle. The barrel length is 28 inches. It has a one piece stock of smooth walnut with a pistol grip with a slotted rail in the forend for accessories. The LOP measures 13 1/4 inches from the front of the trigger to the back of the rubber recoil pad. The finish is blue and the bore is bright with sharp rifling. it retains about 98% of its metal finish. It has a Leupold 24x scope. .22 Long Rifle
