Bill Bagwell exceedingly scarce and massive "Riverboat Bowie" with a 9-3/4" blade by a bit more than 1-1/2" wide and from  well over 3/8-inch 1084 steel stock, overall length is 14-3/4 inches, double brass guard and matching ferrule, large India Sambar stag handle, extremely scarce doube markings on blade  BAGWELL MS & DOUBLE EXTRA FORGED, made in June 1985 in Marietta, Texas. Bill only made 2-3 at the most Riverboat Bowie in his career. The knife seen and used in the front scarce 1984 ( included in the sale) is a Riverboat Bowie wneh Bill demonstrates the awesome power of his Bowie knives, by cutting free hanging one-inch Manilla ropes with one stroke. The back cover denotes the same iverboat Bowie cleaves a 24-inch section of 2X10 with one blow. In 43 years of collecting Bill's knives this is the only such model I'eve ever seen . It is a rarity in today's marketplace. Prices for Bill Bagwell knives have reached dizzling amount since his passing as vouched by the prices obtained from two of the most reliable custom knife purveyors in the US, one is located in Florida, the other company in Idaho.
