Holland & Holland 20 Gauge Boxlock Cavalier Cased in Original Maker's Case With Accessories. 27" BBL, 15" Length of Pull Built 1995 for University of Virginia Alumni One of 25 Built, #2 of the run. The action is coin finish with open scroll engraving, University of Virginia in banner at left side, Holland & Holland in banner at right side, Rotunda, designed by Jefferson with engraved and stylized "V" above at the bottom of the action, Thomas Jefferson portrait at the bottom of the guard, scepter and "1819" on the top lever, beaded fences, auto safe beaded guard.
Barrel tubes engraved Holland & Holland right and 33 Bruton Street, London on the left, "The Cavalier, One of 25" in gold on the rib. The barrels are 27" in with 2 3/4" chambers to proof, chokes are .006 Right and .015 Left.
The stocks are well figured, straight grained walnut with as new and original to the maker, chequering and finish, 15" Length of Pull to a chequered butt, 2 1/4" Drop at Heel, 1 1/2 Drop at Comb, Cast is Neutral.
Condition: The gun is in overall new condition, possibly unfired, chokes measure to original specs, Birmingham proofs, 2 3/4" 3 1/4 tons, Stocks have only the lightest handling marks, action is tight as if never fired, triggers and ejectors all function perfectly, crestplate is marked with initials. The case is in as new conditon with outer cover, leather locking straps and interior accessories present. CCP. 0502021 IHSSRC $7500.00
