I. Hollis & Sons 8 Bore percussion rifle for Dangerous game.. 28" Full octagon Bbl with full rifled bore. Blade front sight with 3 leaf express rear sight. Lock marked "I. HOLLIS & SON" in the center is a monogram with a script I,H, S, overlay and circumferenced with "MAKERS TO HER MAJESTY'S WAR DEP'T" One piece oil finished walnut stock, checkered at wrist Iron trigger guard with German silver nose cap and small oval patch box engraved with modest scroll. Barrel proofs are not legible due to corrosion on underside. Condition. Very good with strong rifled bore with light frosting in grooves. Exterior of barrel is slightly pitted at breech. Stock is good with older repair at wedge escutcheon on left side. Mechanically fine.
