This Russian Mosin Nagant appears to be an early model M91 later converted to a M38 carbine. The receiver is stamped 1904, serial# 80453. It features a hexagon receiver and 20.3\" barrel. The receiver, barrel, magazine and buttplate serial numbers match. The bolt appears to be a mismatch with the original serial number strike out and the current serial electro penciled on it (presumably done at the armory during reconfiguring). Overall the rifle is in nice condition for its age but it does have handling marks and imperfections in the metal and wood. The bore and rifling are in good condition. It comes as pictured with the leather sling. No other accessories included.
Due to the age, collectability and inherent nature of military surplus rifles, it is recommended to do your research to verify the historical details regarding the model, configuration and condition. While this rifle appears to be in great mechanical condition, it is recommended to have it inspected by a gunsmith if you intend to shoot it.
