Peabody of Providence RI model 1867 Swiss contract rifle cal, 41 Swiss rim fire. Case colored dropping block action with maker's name on left side. Blue finished Bbl with 2 retaining bands and wiping rod. Oil-finished walnut stocks with military steel butt plate. Swiss pattern tilting rear sight and post front sight to accommodate socket bayonet. Condition, Very fine with brilliant bore and mechanically fine. Stocks are excellent and barrel retains 80% blue while receiver retains 70% vivid case colors.
