The Ruger American Rifle Predator is built with innovative designs and modern materials to provide shooters with a practical and cost-effective bolt-action rifle, meant for serious long-range shooting. Ruger designed the Marksman Adjustable trigger for the American Rifle to be user adjustable for weight-of-pull. The Marksman trigger is light and crisp, allowing for precision shooting. The stock is constructed from rugged composite with grooves and texturizing on the pistol grip and fore-end, which provide a solid, non-slip grip in any hunting environment. The stock features molded-in Power Bedding recoil/bedding blocks to rigidly attach the barreled action to the stock and free-float the barrel. A soft rubber recoil pad absorbs recoil considerably. The Predator model features a heavier tapered barrel to aid in long-range shooting, and is threaded (5/8''-24). The barrel is cold hammer-forged, resulting in ultra-precise rifling for exceptional accuracy. A 3-lug bolt design with a 70 degree bolt lift provides plenty of clearance between the bolt handle and the riflescope. A 2-position tang safety is easily accessible and quick to operate by both right- and left-handed shooters; the bolt can be cycled for loading and unloading the rifle with the safety engaged. A cocking indicator at the end of the bolt can be seen and felt. This American Rifle Predator model comes with one detachable magazine, adding to the rifle's ease of handling. The receiver is drilled and tapped with a factory installed, 1-piece aluminum, sight rail. Made in USA.
