Description:
For sale is a Pre-Ban Belgian Made FN FNC Military Style Rifle. These were imported in the late 1970's and 1980's before the importation ban of such weapons was signed into law in 1989 by then Pres. Bush Sr. This rifle was made famous from the 1990's movie "Heat" in which famously it was used in the great shoot out scene at the final bank robbery. It is manufactured by Fabrique Nationale Herstal in Belgium and is the Semi Auto Import version like the predecessor Full Auto Version issued to the Belgian Army. Not many of these were imported, roughly 6000-7000 total. With this being a uniquely rare variant. This is the 16”-barrel carbine version intended for police use. Statistics say about a 1000 of them in total of the 6-7k. The FNC uses a long stroke gas piston system with a rotating, locking bolt design, similar to the famous AK47. It features a unique gas system that is 2 positions. One for normal firing conditions and the other for adverse conditions and this selection lets more gas in to ensure reliability. This rifle also features a grenade launching system. In the photos the front sight is flipped up. This shuts the gas off and makes it propel grenades. Return the sight to the low-profile position, turning the gas back on for normal operation. Included is an original FN Made 30 round magazine, Green Sling and Factory Manual. It appears this rifle was fired very little. The piston is extremely clean and the bore is excellent!
