"Serial number 16650. Made in 1875. 45 LC caliber with a 7 ½" barrel. This is A. P. Casey inspected gun which is one of the rarest inspectors. This is a nice sharp gun with 70% of a period blue and very good case colors on the frame. Grips are period replacements. This gun comes with a letter of authentication from noted Colt Single Action expert John Kopec where he notes the alterations. He says in the letter that the majority of the guns issued in this serial range were issued to the 7th cavalry after the Battle of the Little Big Horn to the Custer Avengers.
