Description:
Serial #3900907, .30-06, 24" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is an early Remington-made rifle that has a 7-43 dated, "RA" four-groove barrel and retains 95-97% of the original parkerized finish on the barrel, receiver, and trigger guard. There is some silvering and fading at the muzzle and a few small spots of surface oxidation on the receiver at the rear wall of the receiver ring. The bolt and stock furniture have a commensurate amount of original Du-Lite blue remaining, with mild fading along the bearing surfaces of the bolt, and some more minor surface oxidation at the base of the bolt handle. The walnut stock is in excellent condition with crisp "RA (Ordnance crossed cannons) FJA" cartouche on the left side, and crisp Remington factory stamps on the underside of the forend. There are some minor handling marks scattered about the original oil finish, but no major blemishes. This is a desirable, four-groove Remington ‘03-A3, in excellent condition, and would make a great addition to any collection. FFL or C&R
