Description:
Famars by Abbiacato & Salvinelli. Made in 2012 this is a spectacular Excalibur with sideplates.
The gun was engraved with a couple species of Quail by Italian Master engraver, Aldo Rizzini and signed on both side plates and the trigger group. In addition to the Quail, Diana, Goddess of the Hunt is depicted on the bottom of the frame; and the bust of a bird dog on the grip cap. The Bulino engraved scenes are nicely highlighted by a more modern style of scroll/floral and all in a coin finish with black backgrounds.
The wood is as sensational as the engraving...highly figured Turkish Walnut finished in a caramel color. The pistol grip stock has a 14 3/4" LOP to the checkered butt ; 1 7/16" DAC and 2 1/4" DAH with neutral cast. Small, matching field forearm with a Deeley forearm latch.
This .410 bore has 32" barrels with 3" chambers and factory fitted with 5 Briley thin wall choke tubes.
Gun weighs 6 lbs. 4 oz. and comes in the makers case with chokes and a spring kit.
