Description:
Reduced. This .40  rifle was built by John Derrick who just passed away in May. It is a Jaeger style schuetzen rifle. Mr. Derrick's arms (he made almost 80) were always highly carved and decorated. He made all the furniture himself, e.g., side plates, butt plates, ramrods pipes, etc., using the individually cast, lost wax method, using both brass and silver. Many of his muskets & rifles also have considerable engraved horn inlays all over them, with horn nose caps & ramrod tips. He also made use of premium parts from The Rifle Shoppe or swamped barrels from Rice or Getz, et al, Chambers locks, etc, and set triggers from RE Davis. This example has a 32" half round half octagon barrel. Bore is excellent. LOP is 13". Rifle weighs 6.5 lbs. Mr. Derrick's rifles are highly sought after. Rare opportunity. $1200 + Shipping. .
