"Serial No. 1091454, made in 1942, .30 carbine, 18" round barrel marked “W". Rear sight is unmarked as is the barrel band. Bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling visible. Winchester Proof mark is noted forward of the barrel band. Type I slide is unmarked, trigger assembly parts are marked with “W". Rear sight is marked with “S", Type III recoil shield has “W" stamped on it. Stock has expected handling marks visible, with Cartouche and Ordnance escutcheon stamped on the left side. Pistol grip is marked with “P" with the numbers “022" I-cut sling well is unmarked. Action Is smooth and functions correctly, comes with oiler and sling. Overall, very good example and of an early Winchester Carbine with almost entirely early assembly parts.
