Description:
For sale is an Arisaka Type 99 sniper made at the Nagoya Arsenal. The overall condition of the rifle is 85%. The metal retains the majority of its original bluing but there are spots of oxidation and patina throughout. The Imperial Mum and the characters "Type 99" are ground. The rifle is nearly matching but it is mismatched on the safety knob. The scope is in great condition but the lenses are slightly dirty. The bore is bright with great rifling, but there are spots of corrosion about 2 inches from the muzzle. Sometime in the past, someone had used wood putty to fill in parts of the stock at the screw hole for the buttplate.
