Description:
Early 3rd Model 1873 rifle with Special order 30 inch octagon barrel chambered in 44 WCF caliber. Bore is dark with scattered light roughness. Sights include a blade front with sporting rear. Barrel and full length magazine tube are mostly a plum/brown color. Receiver is also a plum/brown with traces of blue in the protected areas. Good markings. Walnut stocks are in good condition with a crescent rifle style buttplate. Scarce gun in a 30 inch octagon barrel. Made in 1882.
